Anjan 2 GT

Description

Ultralight and well-ventilated 3-season tent with extended vestibule

The extended-vestibule Anjan 2 GT was designed specifically as a very light tent for mobile adventures in warmer and snow-free conditions. And while it is indeed very light, it also has unexpected strength. During development, Hilleberg set up an Anjan GT in their wind machine and left it for 6 to 8 hours in very strong winds. The Anjan GT stood strong with no problem. This version of the Anjan GT has been updated, replacing the dual opening pole sleeves and Lock-Tip poles with single opening sleeves and standard poles. To retain the excellent venting effect of having the outer stop short of coming all the way to the ground, Hilleberg incorporated catenary patterning into the bottom of the outer tent walls, creating permanent gaps to allow full air flow. In addition to its venting effect, the new design is easier to pitch, especially in windy conditions. The Anjan 2 GT’s inner tent has an all mesh door and a large, triangular mesh vent in the rear wall for constant air flow. In very warm conditions, you can fully roll up the rear wall of the outer tent.

Given all of this, the Anjan 2 GT is perfect for 3 season backpacking trips and summer bicycle and paddle tours, and is also well-suited for hunters on scouting trips or on early season, minimalist hunts. It is also ideal for warm weather comfort seekers who want to “size up” but still keep the weight very low: the Anjan 2 GT is a surprisingly light – yet huge – solo shelter option for those who hold spaciousness in the highest regard!

A note on colors: Fabric dyes have natural variations, so the actual tent color may look slightly different from what is pictured here.

First Look: Danner N45
Nothing challenges a shoe like thru-hiking a long trail. On the 2,650-mile Pacific Crest Trail, you need the Goldilocks of hiking footwear: comfortable, breathable, lightweight, and durable. If that sounds like a tall order, it’s because it is, and most thru-hikers compromise by choosing comfort over durability, using trail runners that need to be replaced at least four times on...

Super Light and Surprisingly Sturdy: Dometic TRT 140 Air Review
More than 1,500 miles from home, I opened my trucks tailgate and pulled out the two-burner stove. As I started cooking dinner, waves crashed loudly on the rocky shore, a stones throw away. It was 4:30 p.m. Moments earlier, Id peeled off my wetsuit and booties, and the sun was setting along Mexicos northern Baja California Peninsula. A couple of...
Why We Explore
It’s the single most iconic vista in all of Newfoundland, all the more prized because it’s so hard to reach. By the time we clambered over the final set of boulders to get there, we’d been climbing for more than six hours, accompanied by clouds of voracious and seemingly waterproof black flies that were undeterred by the steadily falling rain....
