AutoFlow XL Gravity Filter
$124.95
Description

Fast-flow 10 liter gravity filter for groups

This extra-large AutoFlow gravity filter system delivers 10 liters of clean water fast—all while you set up camp, prep dinner or relax. And its large capacity means fewer trips to the river to haul the water you need. Similar in packable size to the 4L version, the AutoFlow XL system’s durable flat base doubles the water volume for only 12 oz. of total weight. Ultralight and supremely packable, it offers the luxury of pump-free group filtration for basecamps, scout troops, horsepackers and other backcountry groups. And just one 10-liter fill of the reservoir can supply 1-2 people with a whole day’s worth of clean water.

Footprint sold separately.

Earlier this year, a team of six kayaked ~450km along the west coast of Greenland, scoping out and establishing new routes on the vast granite cliffs of the Arctic Ocean. Jacob Cook and Bronwyn Hodgins told us more about the expedition; how they prepared, the routes they established, and what it's like to live in constant daylight. Can you summarise...
Runnel Vision – An expedition to find adventure
In 2018, I joined Mike 'Twid' Turner, Steve Long, Angus Kille heading out to climb a remote big wall in central Brazil. The objective was to establish and free climb a new route on the south face of Pedra Baiana. However, the expedition ran into problems from day one. We arrived in Rio to find civil unrest in the streets,...
4-Season Strength, 3-Season Weight: REI Co-op Arete ASL 2 Tent Review
The winters in Washington are known for one thing: rain. But if you’re desperate to get outside regardless (like I am), you’ll find yourself rummaging through the thickets in a steady drizzle for a place to pitch your tent (like I did). Despite the rain, however, I was able to enjoy a cozy evening curled up with a good book...

Why You Should Go to Iceland in the Off-Season
There’s a saying in Iceland that’s sort of the country’s unofficial motto: Þetta reddast (sounds like “thetta rettast”). Like so many Icelandic words there isn’t a direct translation into English, but the essence of it is, “Ehhh, it’ll be fine” My good friend Pétur Magnusson, who lives in Reykjavik, tells me, “It’s a big part of our national identity. It’s...
Jacob Cook on The Care Bear Traverse
In January this year, Jacob Cook became the first British climber to complete the Care Bear Traverse, a link up of the first three summits of the infamous Fitz Roy Traverse. Climbing alongside good friend Tyler Karow, Jacob endured a series of unexpected challenges, both physical and psychological. Read his account of the expedition below. As I navigated my seemingly...
