Bed-Like Comfort for Car Camping Couples: NEMO Jazz Double Sleeping Bag Review
I purchased the NEMO Jazz 30 Double sleeping bag with comfort as my priority. Of course, I wanted a bag that would be warm as well. Given how much time my boyfriend and I spend outdoors together, we also wanted something to accommodate both of us. We invested in the Jazz Double along with theRoamer 2 sleeping pad,and it was...
Scout Motors Returns: But Can It Electrify the Market?
Whether the new off-road-ready Scout Terra and Traveler can find a niche is far from certain, especially considering they’re both all-electric. Scout does have time to build expectations, however, with the two new EVs not expected to reach U.S. showrooms for another 2 years. Once a market mainstay, it’s been more than 4 decades since Scout was available in the...
Ultralight Pack Transforms Into External-Frame Heavy Hauler: Seek Outside Silverton 2300 Review
I have too many day packs. Some days, choosing one feels like a choice between six of one and half a dozen of the other. But the Seek Outside Silverton 2300 hit me like a breath of fresh air. By the standards of ultralight day packs, the Silverton 2300 is well-made, though not revolutionary, with a high-tech ultragrid fabric and...

For Mountain Hardwears annual photo clinic, improving representation in outdoor photography isnt about whos in front of the camera. Its about whos holding it. The Rescue That Changed SAR and Prosthetics Forever: Watch ‘109 Below’
Following a now-infamous Mount Washington rescue in 1982, climber Hugh Herr lost both legs below the knees. He dedicated his life to honoring the SAR team member who sacrificed his life to save him. The film 109 Below chronicles the dramatic and tragic rescue and reveals an insiders perspective on the cost versus benefit of mountain rescue attempts, particularly on...
Luxury Paddleboards, Solar-Powered Hat, Filson Birkenstocks, and More Emerging Gear
If this weeks Emerging Gear has a theme, its probably something about enjoying the outdoors —in style. That ranges from the Tron-like running gear of Swiss brand X-BIONIC to a sexy, stowable bike lock from OTTOLOCK thats perfect for a range of e-bikes. But weve also got this weeks headliners: a classy collaboration between Birkenstock loafers and Filson boots, an...

When you want to become the best at something, you have to dedicate yourself fully to it. You have to immerse yourself in your goal and put all of your energy into tenaciously pursuing it. Each pair of sticks is strategically designed to serve winter athletes in their specific goals. But todays volume of brands can be overwhelming to navigate, even for experienced carvers. Learning the origins of a ski brand,...

Hard Wear, No Tear: Zamberlan 1996 Voiz Lux Hiking Boot Review
The mud, creek crossings, and patches of snow were unavoidable as we squished along the trail using our poles for balance. Our A-framed skis stuck up amid the surrounding willow bushes. Ahead, we could see our snow-covered objective, still miles away. I glanced down at my mud-caked Zamberlan 1996 Voiz Lux Hiking Boots — an upgrade to the original launched in...
