Ultralight day pack with excellent weight distribution

This pack is built for the hiking trails. Granite Gear has boiled down their ultralight multi-day pack knowledge into a day hiking pack. Utilizing the iconic Granite Gear arch system to anchor your pack down, the weight is distributed to a thin frame sheet and down to the hip-hugging webbing waist belt. It's a 22-liter pack, ready to carry all you'd need for the day and then some, with added volume in the external stretch woven side pockets and large front pocket with an overlapping cord system.

Footprint sold separately.

But true fame only found the ship after she sank. In November of 1915, she was crushed by the ice, launching her former passengers into a legendary ordeal. The ragged crew, led...

From Flights to Campsites, These Slippers Go Anywhere: The North Face ThermoBall Traction Bootie Review
They weren’t my most glamorous airport outfit choice, but I didn’t care; I was warm. I wore The North Face ThermoBall Traction Booties on winter flights from Gunnison, Colo., to Bozeman, Mont. Maybe not the most traditional way to use booties, but it worked. While everyone else fidgeted in stiff leather boots or struggled to put shoes back on after...

Park-Ready All-Rounder: Armada ARV 100 All-Mountain Skis Review
My first (and wrong) impression of the Armada ARV 100 all-mountain skis was: “Wow, these skis suck.” Turns out, I hadn’t figured out where and how to ski them. I made that mistake, so you dont have to. Through trial and error, I discovered that the ARV 100 is a freestyle design with all-mountain capabilities. The ARV 100s excel for new...

Large Bellowed Pockets, Articulated Fit for Muscular Legs: Patagonia Women’s PowSlayer Ski Pants
We stood at the top of the line with wind tossing snow from every direction. The day-long storm was barely subsiding, and the conditions were deep — we even had to set a new skintrack on the 3,000-foot ascent. I was happy to be wearing the Patagonia PowSlayer Pants, a super-light, waterproof, and breathable ski pant, which was ideal for...
