Egyptian Cotton MummyLiner
$34.36
Description

Preserve your sleeping bag investment with this super-soft, packable liner

The Cocoon Egyptian Cotton MummyLiner keeps skin oils out of the insulation of your sleeping bag, preserving the life of your bag. It adds a few degrees in warmth, and makes climbing into your bag feel warmer (because it has a warmer feel than polyester fabric). A great way to prolong the life of your sleeping bag investment and add comfort to your bag.

Egyptian cotton is a rare, long-fibered cotton that is spun into a fine yarn. The result is a very lightweight and soft, yet durable fabric. Cocoon MummyLiners made of Egyptian cotton are substantially lighter and more compact than those of regular cotton. A great compromise between regular cotton and silk!

Feud Between Outside Inc., Writers Goes Public
For decades, Outside Magazine has offered its readers some of the best outdoor journalism found anywhere. Many of its contributors — from Jon Krakauer and Hampton Sides to Jimmy Chin and Tommy Caldwell — have become iconic authors, photographers, and athletes. Now, some of those icons have asked for their names to be removed from the masthead of the legacy...
Short-Distance Racing Weapon: The North Face Summit Sky 2 First Look Review
The super shoe revolution in trail running is a few seasons old at this point. Where all roads lead to Nike’s Alphafly with a handful of worthy number twos, there’s still no one defining super shoe for the trails — the type where if you line up in anything less, you’re sacrificing first place. Because of its unfortunate pandemic timing,...
The Benefits of Being Close to Water, According to Science
I don’t know who’s more perplexed: me or the deer? It’s dawn on the Fourth of July and I’m lugging my 14-foot inflatable SUP and three dry bags across River Street in Troy, New York, burping bacon from the breakfast buffet. Downtown is drizzly and deserted, just me and the ungulate locking eyes across a hotel parking lot, two fish...
Non-Newtonian Skis Adapt to Speed: Renoun Citadel 107 Review
I was on lap number seven on Grouse Mountain, and I wasnt about to stop anytime soon. My breath was heavy. I was sweating through my baselayers and covered in snow. Beaver Creek had gotten 10 inches overnight, and it didnt seem like anyone else was there to ski it. Every single run, snow was exploding over me all the way...
Netflix’s Apple Cider Vinegar Shows Just How Scary Health Misinformation Can Get
As a health writer, I’ve watched wellness trends come and go, each one claiming to be as life-changing as the last. “I read that [insert detox drink or mushroom coffee here] is really good for you,” people have said to me with promising smiles, time and time again. But they didn’t actually read the information anywhere. Most likely, they watched a...
Can Outdoor Friendships Solve the Loneliness Epidemic?
In February, I joined four strangers on an overnight dogsled expedition for beginners. They ranged in age from their twenties to sixties, and sat long hours around the campfire—laughing, roasting marshmallows for each other, and petting a yellow dog who squeezed along the snowbanks behind them, nosing for snacks. Each attendee had signed up for the trip alone; they’d never...
The Best Assisted Braking Device for Lead Belaying: Petzl NEOX Long-Term Review
Every assisted braking device (ABD) can inadvertently lock the rope to varying degrees when quickly feeding out slack to a lead climber.Petzl has mostly solved this dilemma with the NEOX. When an ABD locks a rope when the belayer feeds slack rapidly (short roping), its actually doing what it was meant to do. Most ABDs have some sort of prescribed...
Turkey Hunting Gear 101: The Kit You Need to Tag Your Gobbler
Few things are more exciting than the approach of spring turkey hunting. For many hunters, it marks the end of a long winter and a much-needed return to the field. Often, spring turkey is one of the first hunts for youth hunters and one of the most accessible hunts for aging sportsmen. And its fun. Toms are the most active in...
The Best Binoculars of 2025
There are limitless ways to enjoy the outdoor world and just as many tools to do it, but perhaps no piece of equipment is as rewarding and versatile as the best binoculars for your needs. We tapped one of our expert writers, Nick LeFort, who’s spent a lot of time looking at the world through a set of clear lenses...
Throwing Caution to the Wind: Watch the Radical Evolution of Arc’teryx Athlete Weazy Murray
Skiing is just one element of Craig Weazy Murrays deep connection to the mountains. He grew up with outdoorsy parents who didnt even own a TV. He was constantly competing with his siblings, who all loved the same sports and who all pushed each other to new heights. Weazy carried that lifestyle and mindset into his adulthood. And now, hes...
Small Car With Big Style, Big Range, Massive Screen: Introducing the 2026 Mercedes-Benz CLA
With more star signs than an astrology convention and more screens than a sports bar, this is the latest from Mercedes-Benz. The all-new 2026 Mercedes-Benz CLA is one of the brands smallest models, but it has just kicked off a whole new era in design, features, and function for the German luxury brand. It will arrive with both gas and...
How to Turn Your Garage Into the Ultimate Home Gym
Two years ago, I had a mild midlife crisis when I turned 40. I say “mild” because I did not make any negative life-altering choices or obsess over opportunities missed in the first 40 years of my life. I did, however, make the stereotypical massive purchase which had a toe hold in vanity. Driven by the determination to maintain some...
