Description

  Classic compact mountaineering design

Super-light, super-strong, waterproof, breathable and easy to set up, the 2-person Eldorado was originally designed for the extreme mountain climber. This tent can be pitched on ledges that are no larger than your couch! Yet any outdoor adventurer will appreciate the design and features that make it the ideal tent at altitude. The Eldorado weighs just 5 pounds, and rolls up small enough to fit into the side pocket of many internal frame packs. Two poles crisscross inside the single tent wall, eliminating hard-to-thread sleeves, and bending naturally into the eaves of the roof. The result is maximum strength and more headroom per square foot of floor space than any other tent. The single piece bathtub floor has no seams. The door toggles to the side when open. The no-see-um net door is on the interior to prevent the massive ice build-up which occurs on exterior net doors of other brands in winter. Each Eldorado comes with two weatherproof zippered vents at the very peak of the tent to draw out rising moist air. In addition, a hooded vent over the door and a unique covered vent at the bottom of the door provide flow-through ventilation, even in poor weather. Two net pockets hold odds and ends, and it is fully seam taped. Sets up easily in under two minutes.

Breathable and Affordable, These May Be the Last Early-Season Pants You Buy: Badlands Andaire Review
As an archery hunter, Ive spent a lot of time hunting in extremely hot weather. When I lived in Utah, our deer and elk seasons began in mid-August. Have you been to Utah that time of year? Blistering desert heat. Now, in Tennessee, I sweat in the humidity while hanging trail cams in the summer and sit in a treestand...
The Best Hunting Socks of 2025
As a kid, I often wore two or three pairs of cotton socks topped with a super thick wool sock. It was a very inefficient system and did more harm than good. After many years, miles, and cold sits, I learned just how important good hunting socks are. Hunting socks may not be a glamorous gear item, but they sure...
Running as Art, With Olympian and Filmmaker Alexi Pappas
Extreme adaptability and versatility can be found throughout the animal kingdom, but may have found their peak expression in Alexi Pappas. As a runner, Pappas was a two-time All-American for Dartmouth who set a national record running for Greece at the 2016 Olympics. As a performer, she was a member of Dartmouth’s gut-busting Dog Day improv group before going on...
Boone & Crockett’s ‘Poach & Pay’ Takes Aim at Poaching
The Boone Crockett Club makes it clear that hunting and poaching are not the same. Ethical hunters follow regulations. Poachers steal from the public. The club’s Poach Pay program sets out to change the way people view and punish wildlife crime. Poaching also carries real costs. It undermines wildlife management, reduces conservation funding, and erodes public trust. Despite this, penalties...
Roush RT6 F-150 Offers Big Lift and Loads of Style
Move over, Tremor and Raptor, theres a new ultimate off-road F-150 in town. Roush Performance has just launched the Roush RT6 F-150, a truck with a whopping 6-inch lift that meets federal safety standards and is available at select Ford dealers. The only thing small about the RT6 is the number Roush will build and the tires. 6-Inch Lift Throws...

You can watch a full recap of the event below: Play AirPods Pro 3 For travelers, Apple AirPods Pro 3 will translate languages in real time while you have a conversation. Full Support for Load-Bearing Adventures: Zamberlan Thunder Pro GTX Hiking Boot Review
Dust and loose rock slipped beneath my feet as I descended Scout Trail. It had been a dry summer in Colorado, and many of the western slopes trails were getting sloppy like this one. I moved quickly downhill, though, confident in my boots ability to grip the terrain and support my ankles if I happened to misstep. Id been using...
How Not to Be a ‘Bad Tourist’ in the Outdoors
Few things inspire more clickworthy internet rage than stories about tourists who suffer consequences after doing “stupid” things. Every summer, someone else is getting gored by something with horns, tossed by something with antlers, rescued from trails they had no business hiking, or causing a domino effect of river rescues. Often, there’s a phone and a selfie somewhere in the...

Athletes Retrace the Original Footsteps From Japan’s Hardest Hiking Route
Once upon a time, there was a monk who lived in a cave in the Japanese Alps. He climbed peaks, establishing hiking routes, and made many of the regions first ascents. Banryu Shonin is the Father of Japanese Alpinism. He died in 1840, leaving a legacy that largely defined the nations relationship with its mountains. In 2025, four athletes followed...
Low-Profile Helmet With Freeride Comfort: Atomic Four AMID Pro Ski Helmet Review
The morning had been bluebird, bright, and borderline hot at Arapahoe Basin Ski Area. As the day progressed, though, the weather started to turn. Big, dark storm clouds loomed to the south and seemed to be drifting in my direction. My Atomic Four AMID Pro Helmet had been helping ventilate my head all morning. But I knew that if it...
