FirstLight 2P Tent
Black Diamond
FirstLight 2P Tent
$449.95
Description

Ultralight 4-season tent for minimalist alpine missions

A compact two-person, four-season tent built for weight-conscious climbers, the Black Diamond FirstLight is based on the I-Tent’s expedition-specific design with steep walls and a simple floor shape to optimize living space and increase headroom. For durability, all seams are double sewn and the stress points are reinforced. With two equal length DAC Featherlite poles that fit inside the tent with hook-and-loop wraps, it’s easy to set up—even from inside. For cross ventilation, both the small rear window and the door are covered with no-see-um mesh. The canopy is constructed with water-resistant, breathable NanoShield fabric. For interior organization, the FirstLight has two interior mesh pockets.

The FirstLight is intended for adventures above treeline; for below-treeline trips, the Black Diamond HiLight is recommended instead due to its increased ventilation.

Please note, we cannot ship this product to Canada or the following states due to fire retardancy laws: California, Massachusetts, New York, New Jersey, Louisiana, Minnesota, and Michigan.

Footprint sold separately.

Is a Trip to Burning Man Worth the Medical Debt?
A broken back and ribs, a bruised spleen, and a punctured lung—Rachael Gingery’s list of injuries looked like the aftermath of a WWE wrestling match, not a trip to an art and culture festival inspired by such lofty ideals, self-described as “community, art, self-expression, and self-reliance.” But that’s what Gingery told SFGATE she endured in 2024 during her eighth Burning...
Watch ‘The Outer Edge’
The Outer Banks of North Carolina is known for its stunning coastlines and iconic lighthouses—but theres far more to discover beyond the postcard views. What truly sets this string of islands apart is the spirit of the people who call it home. From artists and farmers to weather forecasters and builders, the Outer Banks’ vibrant culture is shaped by the...

Maybe the Best Deal in Knives: Morakniv Companion Fixed-Blade Review
Like the Opinel No.08 Inox, the Morakniv Companion’s excellence owes largely to its paltry price. At $16, you could afford it with money from a kids paper route. But most importantly, the Morakniv Companion punches way beyond its price tag when it comes to performance and quality. Realistically, youd have to pay three times as much to find a knife...

I’m a Ski Instructor Who Fell 500 Feet Down a Couloir. Here’s What I Want Skiers To Know.
About three hours after I tomahawked halfway down Central Couloir, the steepest and most visible line in Jackson Hole Mountain Resort’s sidecountry, the doctor in the emergency room at St. John’s Health asked if I had seen the video. “He’s joking,” I said to my daughter. “I’m not joking,” he responded. “I also work for Search and Rescue. Do you...
