SummerLite
Western Mountaineering
SummerLite
$460.00 - $495.00
Description

  Fully featured and super-light; 32° F

Weighing in at just 1 lb 3 oz, the SummerLite is the lightest continuous-baffle sleeping bag that Western Mountaineering makes. These baffles allow you to regulate the temperature of the bag by shifting the down on top of you in colder temperatures, or underneath you when things warm up, making for a very versatile summer bag. Hard to believe in a bag this light, but the SummerLite even comes with a full length zipper and an insulated draft tube for extra protection from the elements. Western Mountaineering designed this bag for the lightweight fanatics who have provided them with feedback, criticism, and motivation to continue producing the lightest down products available.

Like all of Western Mountaineering's bags, the SummerLite is made by hand in San Jose, California. Their down is sourced from free-range mother geese who are never live-plucked or force-fed.

Footprint sold separately.

Every morning for several months, Staggs waited at various entrances to the canyon to speak with...

Tough Flip-Flops for Tough Girls: OluKai ‘Ohana Review
The first time your flip-flop breaks when you’re out in public, you realize that maybe cheapest isn’t always best. There I was at the RC car track a few years ago — I was running to flip over a car that had taken a tumble during a race, and then I realized … I was still running, but one of...
Immense Capacity, Light Weight: Kifaru Absaroka Review
Our camp on night one was about 4 miles and 2,000 vertical feet from the trailhead. Nothing epic, but at 12,000 feet, nothing to trifle with, either. Add about 50 pounds of gear, including a rifle, and it was a stout hike. That was day one of my 2024 Colorado elk rifle season and the first day of testing of...

All of that said, high-end hunting clothing is … well, high-end. And that comes at a cost....

Stiff, Featherweight, and Pops in the Backcountry: Atomic Backland 102 Freeride Touring Ski Review
The snow started falling on the drive to Powder Mountain, and by the time we arrived, it was a full-on zero-visibility whiteout. That storm continued building in intensity all weekend long, burying us in our yurts under feet of fresh. I couldnt have asked for better conditions to test Atomics newest member of the Backland family: the 2025 Backland 102. The...
