Description

Mountain biking hydration pack with excellent ventilation

When you're riding, you don't want to think about your pack, and the Osprey Syncro 20 takes the weight off your shoulders so you won’t. Spacious with plenty of pockets, you can carry all the layers, tools, and food you need for a long day in the saddle. Toss your worries aside about your pack hopping all over the place because the harness on this pack is shaped like wings—meaning the shoulder straps assume the natural curve your body does when you’re reaching for your handlebars. So, your pack stays super stable, even over the most technical terrain. A tensioned mesh AirSpeed backpanel provides superior ventilation and a removable hi-vis raincover ensures your gear doesn’t get drenched. Stay hydrated no matter how long you ride with an included 2.5-liter reservoir.

WARNING for California customers: This product can expose you to chemicals including dimethylformamide, which is known to the State of California to cause cancer. For more information, go to oehha.ca.gov/proposition-65/about-proposition-65

It’s Been a Turbulent Period for the Outdoor Industry. Here’s Why.
John Murtiashaw could not catch a break. In the fall of 2023, Murtiashaw, 38, was working as the sales manager for Appalachian Gear Company (ACG), an apparel brand based in Kings Mountain, North Carolina. Murtiashaw, an eight-year veteran in the outdoor industry, loved the job and his coworkers. There was some serious buzz around the product, and he felt like...
Lindsay Vonn Proves ‘Everyone Wrong,’ Finishes Second in World Cup Super-G
The 2025 FIS World Cup Womens super-G races finished March 23 in Sun Valley, Idaho. Swiss skier Lara Gut-Behrami, 33, finished in first place. But her win was almost overshadowed by Lindsay Vonns triumphant return to the racecourse after a 5-year hiatus. Vonn, 40, took second place in the womens super-G event, finishing 1.29 seconds behind Gut-Behrami and making the...
What’s the Best Underwear for Backpacking?
When I bought my first pair of Merino wool underwear—a pair of Ibex briefs—from a Vermont gear shop in 2017, it was a game changer. I dubbed them my “adventure undies,” since they were the first pair I’d reach for when packing for every type of outing. On long hikes, multiweek canoe camping trips, and snowy mountain excursions, they beat...
First Werks Gruppe Safari 911 Build Up for Auction Now
Safari cars have been all the rage in the past few years, with Porsche 911 leading that charge for decades. Now fully mainstream, with the 911 Dakar and Lamborgini Sterrato sold directly from the factory, Safari cars are only growing in popularity. These sports cars with ground clearance, suspension travel, all-terrain tires, and skid plates make for a good time...
Great Binoculars, Value Price: Nocs Provision Pro Issue 8×42 Review
What do a bagel with cream cheese and a pair of binoculars have in common? Usually, not much. But living out in the boonies near a bird sanctuary, I often eat breakfast (a bagel and cream cheese) while scanning the land to see what our birds are doing. Since last fall, my glass of choice has been the Nocs Provision...
Rescuers Saved a Lost Coast Hiker from the Side of a 100-Foot Cliff
Two hikers in California are lucky to be alive after one of them fell 100 feet down a sheer cliff overlooking the Pacific Ocean. The incident occurred on Saturday, March 22 on a remote stretch of Californias famed Lost Coast Trail, a rugged 53-mile hiking route along the Pacific Coast in Humboldt County. According to a Facebook post published by...
Updated to Be Faster, Smoother, and Safer: Rad Power RadWagon 5 Review
The RadWagon is a classic that helped popularize long-tail electric cargo bikes in North America. Now in its fifth iteration, numerous updates aim to make the Rad Power RadWagon 5 the best version yet. Not too long ago, Rad Power was the undisputed champion of affordable electric bikes. In the past few years, however, several brands have managed to undercut...

Most Popular National Park Reduces Camping as Trump Defies Court Orders
Great Smoky Mountains National Park is the countrys most popular national park — and its not even close. With more than 12 million annual visitors, it sees more than double the 5 million yearly visitors to Zion National Park, which takes up a distant second place. So, its no small thing that less than half of Great Smokys campgrounds are...
Debut Automatic Is All Muscle, ‘Zero’ Fat: Zero Tolerance 0512 Review
As automatic knives proliferate in the outdoor landscape, more of us find benefits in using them when we head outdoors. An automatic knife offers a sure thing — it will open the same way every time. That peace of mind comes in handy when you find yourself needing a knife at the ready. Since its inception in 2006, Zero Tolerance...
Tough, Versatile Swimming Safety: NRS Canine Flotation Device Review
It’s a rare sunny day in the Pacific Northwest, perfect for a long dog walk. Suddenly, Leo, my new husky-malamute mix, takes off at a full sprint. His leash slips taut in my hand as he darts straight toward the Columbia River. Before I can react, the bungee leash snaps with a sharp twang. I stumble forward, struggling to keep...
The Runner’s Complete Guide to Electrolytes
There are a dizzying array of drinks and powders on the market that promise to keep you hydrated and boost energy levels during your runs. But you need more than just water and sugary calories for optimal performance. Every bead of sweat that drips from your face contains a mixture of electrolytes—in layman’s terms, “positively or negatively charged ions that...
