Paulie The BeerJunkie Pabst is double-fisting again — remember, were reviewing two beers every episode until Thanksgiving — and this time, hes blurring lines. From Rust Belt to Beach Bum and sports to cigars, this weeks pairing has a little something for everyone (or possibly nothing — you decide!).
To kick off, Pabst taps Great Lakes Brewings 73 Kolsch, a mix of malt, hops, and homage to the Cleveland Browns most reliable offensive lineman. Joe Thomas never missed a snap while representing the Dawg Pound, and Great Lakes promises this ale will deliver consistent earthy hops and rye bitterness.
Feeling less gridiron and more getaway? Tampa Bays Cigar City Brewing offers up its aptly named Maduro Brown Ale. According to Pabst, this ones got a lot of little nuance, as complex and satisfying as a good Cuban stogie.
Kick up your feet, grab one (or two) for yourself, and enjoy the master at work!
