Mitsubishi has just added an outdoorsy version of the Outlander to its lineup. The 2025 Mitsubishi Outlander Trail Edition doesnt add much in the way of extreme trail-ready features, though. Instead, its more about a little bit of extra — extra protection for the appearance of the model and highlighting Mitsubishis wide range of adventure-aiding factory-approved accessories.

　　2025 Mitsubishi Outlander Trail Edition Gets New Graphics

　　(Photo/Mitsubishi) The Outlander Trail Editions differences start right on the hood. A new set of matte black decals highlights the lines of that hood, with a Mitsubishi logo in a glossy finish to help it stand out. Mitsubishis beefy Dynamic Shield trim strip around the grille, which is normally chrome, is gloss black on the Trail Edition.

　　Black accents are the main focus of the Mitsubishi Outlander Trail Edition. The mirror caps are black, as are all of the exterior badges and the Trail Edition-specific 18-inch wheels.

　　A new set of fender flares and cladding along the lower body should give the Outlander some extra protection in the bushes. The cladding will keep the scratches out of the paint, at least.

　　Standard All-Weather Mats New Line of Accessories

　　(Photo/Mitsubishi) The Mitsubishi Outlander Trail Edition has some extra protection inside as well as out. New all-weather floor mats come standard at every seating position. A new all-weather mat in the hatch is designed to cover the carpet but is hinged so you can use it and the third row at the same time.

　　Mitsubishi hypes the Trail Editions Cooper Discoverer all-terrain tires, but the Trail Edition doesnt leave the factory with those tires. Theyre a dealer-installed accessory option, so theyll add to the $39,295 starting price of the model.

　　The tires are the first in a big upgrade to Mitsubishis line of accessories that will be stocked at dealers. The new options include a Thule Caprock roof rack and canoe, surfboard, fishing rod, and bike holders, as well as awnings and more.

　　(Photo/Mitsubishi) Mitsubishis Outlander Trail Edition is based on the SE grade. It comes with a power hatch, LED fog lights, synthetic leather seats with heating for the front row, and a Yamaha sound system. The Trail Edition also adds a panoramic roof to the list of features.

　　The new package is offered for the gas Outlander only, not the PHEV. It comes with standard AWD and a 2.5L four-cylinder that makes 181 horsepower and 181 pound-feet of torque.

　　The 2025 Mitsubishi Outlander is on sale now, so expect the Trail Edition at dealers soon.
