Ford is applying its Tremor off-road branding to its entire line of trucks and SUVs. The latest to get the treatment is the three-row 2026 Explorer.

(Photo/Bryon Dorr) Of course, first, this new off-road–oriented machine gets bigger tires and a small lift. All-terrain tires, 31.5 inches tall, wrapped on 18-inch wheels, are what the 2026 Explorer Tremor rolls on. The orange accents on the wheels are not only cool, but they also denote where the valve stem is located.
It has 8.7 inches of ground clearance, which is 1 inch more than the rest of the lineup. This, of course, also equates to improved approach and departure angles. Unique springs and sway bars are on board, as well as off-road tuned suspension.
(Photo/Bryon Dorr) If those taller tires and extra ground clearance arent enough, the Explorer Tremor has three skid plates for underbody protection. And, if you get properly stuck, it has proper recovery hooks.
The rear axle has a Torsion limited slip differential and 358 gearing. The Tremor package on the 2026 Ford Explorer also includes high-intensity LED off-road lights in the front bumper.

All 2026 Ford Explorer Tremors also come with roof rack rails, which are perfect for adding crossbars and carrying your bulky outdoor adventure toys.
(Photo/Bryon Dorr) 2026 Ford Explorer Tremor Power Tech The 2.3L EcoBoost comes standard on the 2026 Explorer Tremor, with its 300 horsepower. But, the upgraded 3.0L EcoBoost is available, the same one found in the Explorer ST, which puts out 400 horsepower.
In addition to its big power, the 2026 Explorer Tremor is available with BlueCruise 1.5. This latest hands-free highway driving tech now includes Automatic Lane Change capabilities.
(Photo/Ford) The new Explorer Tremor will also offer all sorts of fancy tech to make life easier. Standard is Copilot 360 Assist 2.0, with a 360-degree camera system, which should be handy off-road. Also available is Fords latest Connectivity Package, which includes a Wi-Fi hot spot, Google Assistant, embedded Google Maps, and Google Play app functionality.
You can even get massage seats, but only in the big motor version of the vehicle. Massage seats arent even available yet in the Ford Expedition Tremor!
You can also get a 14-speaker BO audio system in the Explorer Tremor.
(Photo/Bryon Dorr) Order Soon, Arrives Late This Year No pricing has been announced yet, but expect it soon. The order books open June 24 for the first-ever Ford Explorer Tremor. The first vehicles are expected to hit dealer lots late this year.
