Ascent 22 (Spring 2023)
Ortovox
Ascent 22 (Spring 2023)
$112.50
Description

The ultralight and technical Ascent 22 is perfect for demanding days in the mountains. That’s why Ortovox has focused on what’s important and thought through every detail.

This backpack is abrasion-resistant but still extremely light thanks to the nylon 100D Robic Ripstop. Despite this reduction in weight it still has high wear comfort: the foamed 3D back system distributes the weight evenly between the hip fins and the padded shoulder straps. Features such as the circular zipper that provides quick access to your equipment, a map compartment, hydration system compatibility, as well as a diagonal ski attachment, an ice axe holder and a rope fastening, make the backpack what it is: a technical, ultra-lightweight backpack for challenging ski tours.

The Ascent 22 also includes an emergency card: in the case of an emergency, the card provides information about the injured person and therefore allows for faster and more efficient treatment.

WARNING for California customers: This product can expose you to chemicals including dimethylformamide, which is known to the State of California to cause cancer. For more information, go to www.P65Warnings.ca.gov

This Is What Trail Town Residents Want Thru-Hikers to Know
Trail towns play an outsize role in a thru-hiker’s journey. Serving as celebratory checkpoints, physical pit stops, resupply junctions, med centers, and social refreshers, some mountain communities have gained a reputation as legendary, near-mythic stopovers. But longtime trail town residents and veteran hikers say that far too many long-distance trekkers—and especially newbs—fail to fully capitalize on the resource. And that’s...
