Barryvox Package

Description

Extremely reliable beacon with shovel and probe

The Mammut Barryvox Package includes all the avalanche equipment you need for freeriding, off-piste runs or ski touring: inside, you will find the Barryvox® avalanche transceiver, the light avalanche Probe 240 and the Alugator Ride shovel. The digital 3-antenna Barryvox avalanche transceiver is distinguished by its extremely simple operation and clear instructions. The aluminum Probe 240 is safe and easy to use, even when wearing gloves. And the packing volume is reduced to the minimum with the small, compact Alugator Ride avalanche shovel, which features a blade made of hardened, anodized aluminum. This set forms the basis of standard safety equipment for freeriders or ski tourers.

This generation of Barryvox beacons continues the faultless reliability that the previous avalanche transceivers were known for. At the same time, Mammut has incorporated some major enhancements in terms of usability and performance. This beacon combines a highly powerful search with intuitive handling to help you find buried subjects quickly, easily and reliably.

Footprint sold separately.

Outdoor Research Women’s Carbide Bibs-Plus Review: Technical, Non-Insulated Bibs for Bigger Bodies
As a plus-size snow athlete, its no surprise I loved the Womens Carbide Bibs-Plus from Outdoor Research. The brand has been a serious contender for inclusive sizes in outdoor apparel for several winter seasons. In fall 2021, OR launched its first line of extended sizes across the most popular products. While some brands choose to reduce the quality or features...
Keep the Passenger Seat Clean: Paw Jamboree Car Seat Protector for Dogs Review
Some dogs are happy riding with views from the backseat or vehicle rear behind a gate. But other dogs want to cruise with a windshield view like a copilot, I like to think my pup is helping to keep an eye out for deer on the highway. But opening the passenger door to friends after Ive had my pet co-pilot...
Park City Mayor Pleads With Vail to End Ski Patrol Strike, ‘Resolve This Conflict’
The Park City Professional Ski Patrol Association (PCPSPA) went on strike on Dec. 27 and has yet to return to work. Now, weeks into the unfair labor practices strike, the mayor of Park City is pleading with Vail Resorts to end the strike as the resort continues to suffer from overwhelming lift lines, short staff, and disgruntled guests. Connected Hunters: Prepping for Whitetail Season With Matthew Jennings
A lifelong bowhunting enthusiast, Matthew Jennings has been chasing wild game since he could walk. Jennings grew up in Alabama, where whitetail season is practically a state holiday. Today, the host of the popular hunting show The Game travels to the best hunting grounds across the country searching for trophy deer — the kind of mature wild buck that sends...
Watch: Death-Defying Winch-Propelled Road Gap Attempt Goes Off the Rails
Most people would shudder at the idea of launching themselves on skis into the air and across a road. But using a gas-powered winch to ramp up your speed for a world record-sized road gap attempt? It would be a death sentence for almost anyone —except for Josh Daiek. For the 40-year-old pro skier from Detroit, it was a vision...

Downhill Weapons for Wild Downhill Runs: X-Bionic TerraSkin X00/C First Look Review
The trail ahead is rocky, steep, and covered with patches of snow and ice. I plunge forward, dropping from the ridge as sunrise crests over the Great Plains below. My feet hop from rock to dirt, and I wear a silly grin as I careen down the rustic trail. Yes, these wild-looking shoes can really grip. This is one fun...
You’ve Never Seen a Hiking Shoe Like This: Merrell SpeedARC Surge Boa Review
The frantically waving, stout brown tail in front of me tick-tocks too fast to set a proper jogging cadence, but it does add its own gleeful encouragement to my swift downhill hike. Leica — GearJunkies famous German shorthaired pointer — and her four paws made easier work of North Table Mountains snaking trail, but I doubted they offered the same bounding ease...
The Last Bike Rack I’ll Ever Own Just Got Better: 1Up USA Super Duty Hitch Bike Rack Review
1Up has always built bike racks from extruded aluminum with replaceable parts, employing the double-wheel arm mechanism it originally developed. This produces incredibly durable racks that can be repaired by the customer with hand tools. And as burly as the racks are, they coddle fragile carbon bikes because nothing touches the frame. I reviewed the prior version of the 1Up...
