Fairview Trek Pack 70 - Women's
$269.95
Description

Part backpacking pack, part travel pack and entirely made for adventure—meet the women's-specific Fairview Trek 70, your new favorite globetrotting companion. An included AirCover®, which doubles as a raincover, protects your pack until you reunite halfway around the world at baggage claim.

The Trek will keep you comfortable while exploring both the back alleys and the backcountry at length thanks to an adjustable, ventilated backpanel. So, go ahead and book that ticket to Tokyo. Get lost searching for Shinjuku's Golden Gai (and definitely order shochu when you get there). Then bus it out of the city to check Mt. Fuji off your bucket list. City and summit gear effortlessly fit inside the large, zippered front-panel opening. A hydration compartment and hipbelt pockets make it simple to sip and snack on the go. Add on the fully compatible Farpoint/Fairview Travel Daypack or Daylite packs to expand your carry and add a small backpack for your daily excursions (daypack sold separately). Now made from 100% recycled nylon that's bluesign®-approved and strong enough for even the most rugged travel.

4 Ways to Open, ‘Double-Safe’ Magnet Lock: Vosteed Ankylo Review
Vosteed knives should be a household name based on the quality and variety of knives the brand continues to put out. But youd be forgiven for not knowing —after all, the company only ended up on my radar by accident. I was having myself a Google, researching the Shilin blade style, and Vosteeds Nightshade flipper came up. But that was...
The Best Backcountry Ski Bindings of 2024
Sure, you might still be able to hike out of bounds at your local ski area, but you can’t actuallyskin uphillwithout a binding that releases at the heel and pivots at the toe. And with the investment in backcountry ski bindings comes the ultimate freedom and efficiency for lift-free travel, whether in the backcountry or at your local resort. While...
11 Ounces, 1,300 Gallons: LifeSaver Wayfarer Packable Water Purifier Review
We were about 20 miles up Gypsum Creek, pedaling deeper into White River National Forest aboard a pair of burly UBCO bikes loaded down with an obscene amount of camping gear. We had everything we needed for a weekend outing and gear-testing trip — except water. I knew there was a water source at camp, a favorite little fishing spot...
Two drills that will improve your breathing when swimming
Effective breathing in freestyle is one of the most important and most challenging skills to learn in swimming, particularly if you’re racing in open water. A poor breath can cause all sorts of problems in your stroke, really hurting your speed. One of the key skills in effective breathing is rotation. Rather than lifting your head or pulling it to...

The Surprising Way Air Hunger Limits Your Endurance
Our lungs and airways are “overbuilt,” according to exercise physiologists. Though we gasp and pant during heavy exercise, that’s not what actually slows us down. Instead, the bottleneck is the heart’s ability to pump oxygen-rich blood to the muscles, or the muscles’ ability to make use of that oxygen. That’s why the heart and muscles get bigger and stronger in...
Your Rain Jacket May Soon Be Illegal
“Forever Chemicals” keep mud out of your boots and make rain jackets waterproof, but they’re about to be illegal. So, back in 2013, footwear maker Keen decided to try and figure out the formula for keeping everyone dry without poisoning our drinking water and contaminating our soil. Could they make high performance boots and jackets without causing cancer and suppressing...
The Best Skis for Beginners in 2024
For many, it’s not realistic to have a truck, van, convertible, SUV, and EV all parked in the driveway. The same goes for skis. When you’re choosing your first vehicle — or in this case, your primary driver at the ski resort — it’s good to think about where you’ll most use the rig the majority of the time. Enter...

Whether you’re joining the e-bike revolution for the first time or upgrading your ride to the latest technology, it’s a great time to shop for an electric bicycle. That’s because e-bikes are still relatively new, and innovations and improvements are being made in leaps and bounds with every passing season. Exhibit A: Troxus has unveiled the newest, most refined cargo...
Samaya ULTRA35 Review: Minimalist Dyneema Pack Worth Maximalist Price
The Samaya ULTRA35 is an ultralight minimalist alpine pack with the added bling of Dyneema. On paper, it checks all the boxes for a high-performance alpinist. But it comes at a price — an MSRP of $440 for a pack of this volume is a big ask. I tested the pack over a week of backcountry, multipitch ice climbing in...
A Wyoming Man Allegedly Tortured a Wolf. He Barely Broke State Law.
On February 29, Daniel, Wyoming resident Cody Roberts allegedly ran a juvenile wolf down with his snowmobile, taped its mouth shut, transported it to the town’s Green River Bar, posed for photos with the animal, then either beat or shot it to death, depending on which version of the report you read. State wildlife officials received a tip about the...
The Bike for Roadies Who Don’t Race: ENVE Fray First Look Review
ENVE first entered the bike frame game with Custom Road builds tailored to individual riders. Later, the brand began mass-producing complete bikes in the form of its Melee road race machine and its MOG gravel counterpart. Now, with a place on the World Tour, the Melee is a well-known race bike. It is aggressive and fast, whereas the MOG provides...
