Haute Route 32
$152.00
Description

The Ortovox Haute Route 32L pack for ski touring has been around almost since the birth of ski touring. This enduring classic is perfect for longer ski excursions.

Cordura®, PFC-free double-layered Polyamide 420D Oxford and PU coating on all fabrics make the Haute Route 32 extremely scuff- and water-resistant. This backpack fits perfectly thanks to its load control cords and ergonomically shaped O-Flex-2 back system with S-shaped stabilizer, which distributes weight evenly between the hips and the shoulders, even over lengthy periods. The hip fins connect inside the back system so that they wrap comfortably and seamlessly around the body.

With its larger capacity, the Haute Route 32 has space for all the gear you may need. The spacious main compartment is accessible from the top and back, which means all pack contents will be easily accessible, while a separate safety compartment provides rapid access to emergency equipment. Thanks to the rope attachment on the lid, you can load and unload your rope without having to open the pack. In addition to the crampon fastening, ice axe and hiking pole fastening and fixed helmet net, there are also fasteners for a snowboard or other gear. Skis can be fastened using either the classic or diagonal method.

No matter how long and challenging the tour, the Haute Route 32 will equip you well for any multi-day tour.

fizik Launches One-to-One: Custom-Printed Bicycle Saddles Based on Pressure Mapping
The longer the ride distance or greater the overall cycling volume, the more critical the touchpoints on a bicycle are. Gender, body dimensions and shape, rider flexibility, specific riding postures, and other highly individual factors make having the perfect fit at the handlebars, pedals, and saddle difficult. Throw in personal preference, and the optimal fit seems like a minuscule target....
The Best Workout Gear for Men
During the hottest summer on record we put dozens of pieces of workout clothes to the test to see if they could help keep us cool and motivated while doing everything from pickup soccer to a 23-mile hike. Some of what we tested was easy to forget, but the six pieces that emerged as the best made a significant difference...
How to Run in the Heat Like the Pros
After a few pleasant hours sitting in the sun watching the Prefontaine Classic in Eugene, Oregon last month, I headed down into the bowels of Hayward Field for a grueling test for running in the heat. Chris Minson, a professor of human physiology at the University of Oregon, had invited me to try the heat adaptation protocol he has developed...

Our 3 Favorite Cameras for Adventurers and Travel Junkies
Nowadays there’s no such thing as a bad digital camera. Climb Upstate NY’s First Via Ferrata With Us: A New Way to Experience the Shawangunks
It’s a distraction mechanism. My knees are clacking, my mouth has gone dry, and it’s all I can do to muffle the screams inside my head. But here I am, buckled into a harness and clipped by a carabiner into a cable that stretches across the rocky face of Eagle Cliff in the Shawangunk Mountains of Upstate New York. Someone...

Caroline Gleich is a renowned climber and skier, a climate activist, and now the Utah democratic party’s candidate for US Senate. But what would she actually do in Washington? Overtourism Is Out of Control. Here Are the New Rules of Travel.
I was in Hawaii with a group of friends, and a local screamed at us to go home. The island was overcrowded, and while I know tourists can be obnoxious and disrespectful, we were being conscientious. I don’t want to give up visiting the world’s most beautiful places, but I also don’t want to add to overtourism. Can I continue...

First Look: XTRATUF Riptide Sandals
It’s rare to find a shoe that’s truly amphibious. Most sandals lack adequate protection for terrestrial use, while sneakers tend to skimp on ventilation and drainage. In the footwear world, land and water sit at either end of a broad spectrum. Some people say the gap can’t be bridged. Those people just haven’t met XTRATUF’s Riptide Sandals yet. If anyone...
