Western Mountaineering
HighLite
$405.00 - $425.00
Description

The pinnacle of ultralight efficiency; 35° F

Western Mountaineering's HighLite is designed to be the lightest, most compressible bag you can find. Everything about this bag is constructed with weight in mind, from its 0.9-oz ExtremeLite™ fabric to the half-length zipper. A popular choice among thru-hikers and ultralight fanatics, the HighLite's efficient narrow mummy cut means that the bag heats up faster and more heat is retained compared to wider sleeping bags. At only 16 ounces, no other bag is as light, as warm, as well-made or as good-looking as the HighLite.

Like all of Western Mountaineering's bags, the HighLite is made by hand in San Jose, California. Their down is sourced from free-range mother geese who are never live-plucked or force-fed.

Footprint sold separately.

The Only Hunting Knife You’ll Ever Need: Benchmade Saddle Mountain Skinner Review
It finally happened. After a decade of telling people I would just fill my tag on opening day of archery and be done with it, the bull screamed into my bugles an hour into the opener. It dropped 75 yards away after my arrow hit the mark. But as any hunter worth their quiver will tell you, putting an elk...
NNormal Kjerag 2.0 Review: Mountain Tough Yet Feather Light
The first time I wore the NNormal Kjerag 2.0, I hiked straight into the Holy Cross Wilderness on a mission to reach a string of alpine lakes with no trail leading the way. Within minutes, I was crawling over downed trees, clawing up rock ledges, and thrashing through brush so dense it snagged my arms and legs. I figured the...

Analog Smartwatch, Souped-Up Tote Bag, Velcro Hiking Shoes, and More Emerging Gear
Innovation can come when people rethink the most basic elements of design, and thats certainly the case with this weeks gear drops. BOTE just dropped some seriously lightweight inflatable kayaks, and Garmin added an AMOLED screen to its analog Instinct Crossover series. And, Japanese brand TENŌRE bucked conventional wisdom on wetsuits, moving the zipper from the back to the neckline...

Flyweight EDC Earns Extra Style Points: Pepperwool Merino MM Review
More knives don’t necessarily mean better knives. Breaking through a market this crowded is tough, especially among lightweight, pocket-friendly EDC blades. Theres no shortage of very light and small knives, but many wind up either “grandpa” knives or over-the-top tacticool knives. But Pepperwool’s Merino MM, the second knife from the nascent brand and its first full production model, is just...
How to Level Up Your Hunting Game This Season
Every hunter talks about luck. A buck just happened to step out. A bull walked right into range. Those moments make the stories, but luck alone doesn’t fill freezers. Consistent success is built months before you climb into a stand or set foot on a ridge. The work happens in the scouting, in the planning, and in the way you...
