MSR
Hyperflow Microfilter
$149.95
Description

Ultra-fast, lightweight, and efficient water treatment

The HyperFlow utilizes the latest Hollow Fiber Technology in a package so small and so easy to use it will change the way you travel in the backcountry. Its ergonomic design, diminutive size and tool-free maintainability make it just as appropriate on day trips as it is on multi-day excursions. Add a filtration rate of 3-liters per minute and you’ve got the most efficient microfilter ever created. You'll feel extra safe knowing that MSR tests all HyperFlow Microfilters prior to shipping. Included is a Quick Connect Bottle Adapter™ — allowing direct connection to all MSR hydration products and a variety of other wide-mouth containers — and an advanced pre-filter to prolong the life of your filter.

The Hyperflow cartridge filters up to 1000 liters, and replacements are available separately. Results will vary depending on water conditions; silty water will clog your filter membrane faster than clear water. Remember to backflush your Hyperflow frequently, and use a pre-filter for maximum cartridge life.

Footprint sold separately.

Epic Overland Cross-Continent Adventure in a Subaru Crosstrek
A coast-to-coast road trip is a staple of American culture and is doable in a few days if you stick to major highways. However, a route exists offering a slower, off-road-centric way across the country: the TransAmerica Trail (TAT). TAT prioritizes adventure over rapidity, affording an Atlantic Ocean to Pacific Ocean route with thousands of miles of dirt and gravel,...
Appalachian Trail FKT: Sarah Baker Beats Norovirus, a Heat Wave, and Starvation to Set New Record
When Sarah Baker stepped onto the Appalachian Trails southern terminus in Georgia this April, she had an ambitious plan. The 43-year-old Tennessean hoped to unseat the self-supported female record held by Heather Anderson, who ran the 2,190-mile trail in about 54 days back in 2015. Baker felt she had a decent shot at pulling it off. After all, she has...
Yellowstone Thermal Crust Collapses, Severely Burning Teen
A 17-year-old boy from Colorado was severely burned on the morning of July 28 after breaking through the thin surface of a geothermal area near Lone Star Geyser in Yellowstone National Park. According to park officials, the teen had been hiking with his family when he stepped onto unstable ground. His foot plunged through the fragile crust into scalding thermal...
This Big, Bizarre-Looking Duck Is Making Down Gear Warmer, Longer-Lasting, and More Affordable
Despite every manner of challenger — from biodegradable synthetics, to alpaca fleece, Seawool made from crushed oyster shells, and even salvaged bison fiber — the undisputed king of warm, insulated gear remains goose down. An analysis by the Global Trends Observatory forecast that the market value of down, which stood at $3.5 billion in 2023, will hit $5.2 billion by 2032. Its...

One Pair, Double Duty: REI Co-op Sahara Convertible Pants Review
One crisp morning near Bozeman, I wore the REI Co-op Sahara Convertible Hiking Pants in full-length mode. This was perfect for the cool air and shaded forest. By the time I reached the sun-soaked ridgelines of the Bridgers that afternoon, the temperature had climbed. In 30 seconds, I unzipped the pant legs without needing to remove my shoes. I stuffed...

From Valet to Dirt, 3-Row Family Hauler Levels Up: 2026 Hyundai Palisade Review
Slowly descending down a vineyard hill while traversing bathtub-sized potholes dug out of the loose ground, the 2026 Hyundai Palisade XRT Pro wiggles down with no scraping or loss of traction. I realize here that Hyundai truly went beyond a styling package for the XRT Pro. After all, I get to keep a close eye on pitch and roll, courtesy...

The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) has identified more than 6 million acres of federally managed public land for potential sale. Seventeen Western states contain parcels the BLM has listed as suitable for “disposal” in official Resource Management Plans (RMPs). Now, for the first time, the public can see exactly where they are. OnX, in partnership with the Theodore Roosevelt...
