Khroma 38

Description

Whether you’re tackling the Haute Route Ski Tour or launching a complex ascent, the Rab Khroma 38 is the ultimate ski touring pack for when you need a stable load and plenty of space for kit. The ultra-tough Spectra® Ripstop fabric is made with fibers that are fifteen times stronger than steel gram for gram, so the pack will endure scrapes with sharp tools, rock, and ski edges without compromising on low weight. It’s also UV-resistant, essential for multiple days at high altitudes.

The close-fitting X-SHIELD™ back system distributes weight evenly to keep your load stable on both the up and the down, as well as featuring a snow-shedding back panel for those deep powder days. Every detail has been designed to make accessing your kit quick and easy, with a zipped back entry allowing you to reach gear at the bottom of the main compartment without emptying the whole pack. The large roll top provides extra storage space when you need to scale up your load, while a separate avalanche safety equipment compartment gives rapid access at the crucial moment.

Secure your gear on the boot pack using the A-frame carry for skis or splitboard, a detachable rope carry strap, and a HeadLocker ice axe attachment. A detachable helmet holder provides added volume and easy helmet access. Keep smaller essentials, such as snacks or sun cream, to hand in the drop pocket or the large hipbelt pocket.

Footprint sold separately.

This Waxed Canvas Duffel Bag Might Outlast You: Pendleton Odyssey Review
I’ve tested dozens of duffel bags over the years. I’ve learned over that time that it’s hard to beat a classic. Most of the best duffel bags are made with slick, durable synthetic materials. They are loaded with compartments and stuffed with innovative features. But there’s just something special about the Pendleton Odyssey Waxed Canvas Duffel Bag ($269). It could...
1,000 Fill, Zero Frills: La Sportiva Lumina 200 Down Jacket Review
As I hiked through the cool fall air, surrounded by the golden, changing leaves, I barely registered the temperature. The crisp autumn air, which had dipped into the 30s, was no match for my La Sportiva Lumina 200 Down Jacket. For the October hike I was on, it was almost overkill. Half of this jackets weight is filled with 1,000...

Accessories can make or break an outfit — and that doesnt just apply to fashion. When it comes to suiting up for the outdoors, choosing the right accessories to bring along is key, and this week, weve got plenty of them. Jack of Trades, King of Blades: TJ Schwarz Confidente Fixed Blade Review
Other than Athena, who, according to legend, sprung from the head of Zeus fully formed and ready for combat, TJ Schwarz’s debut in the knife world has been nothing short of remarkable. Since the release of his first two designs for Koenig Knives (the Arius and the Zenaida) when he was around age 22, his portfolio of work has been...
