Description

  Versatile backpacking pack

Versatility, customization, and durability come together in the Tanuck 40 backpack. Whether you’re headed out on a photo shoot, venturing on a day hike, traveling on planes, or simply taking a day at the beach, the rucksack adapts to every adventure. Combine the camera bag with the T.A.N. Series Kit Cubes and Tanack 10 lumbar pack to create a custom carry system that fits your personal shooting and travel style. Inspired by a climbing haul bag, the weather resistant base panel allows the camera bag to stand up on its own, adding to the usability, access, and gear protection. Combine this with the certifiably durable and water resistant CORDURA fabric, the storm collar and cord closure, and removable rain cover and the Tanuck 40 earns it’s “Tough as Nails” nickname. For easy travel, store your laptop in the back panel easy access laptop compartment and load up the adventure essentials with the MOLLE style webbing, front panel expansion pocket, and D-Ring attachment points. Pack your light stands, tripods, water bottles, and accessories in the side panel pockets and stabilize your load with the removable compression straps. If you’re on the move, the removable top lid clips into the shoulder strap mounted D-rings for a chest mount carry option and instant access to your camera, lenses, phone, batteries, and more. The camera and adventure pack also comes with a hydration bladder sleeve and exit port, dual density shoulder straps with load lifter suspension and increased comfort, an EVA framesheet and Airmesh back panel, and removable waist belt (waist belt compatible with Tanack 10 for lighter loads).

From Trails to Talus: Black Diamond Technician Pro Approach Shoe Review
If you’ve ever been on a long approach to a remote crag, you know that sometimes the climb begins before you reach the rock. Sweat drips from your brow while you lug a heavy pack full of metal from rock to rock, hoping that your shoes stick when it matters the most. Some climbers opt for an approach shoe for...
Cushioned Confidence for the Long Haul: Saucony Xodus Ultra 4 Women’s Trail Running Shoe
Trail runners have plenty of cushioned options these days, but few manage to feel protective and versatile without tipping towards clunky. The Saucony Xodus Ultra 4 womens trail running shoe strikes that balance, pairing plush underfoot comfort with tacky traction and stability that can handle just about any mountain trail. I tested the Xodus Ultra 4 for about 2 months...

What You Learn Running Toward, Rather Than Away, From a Tornado, With Pecos Hank
Spend time outdoors, and you’ll eventually spend time in brutal, even scary weather. Dangerous winds, flash flood-inducing rain, and vision-erasing whiteouts are sometimes the cost of entry. By the same token, you’re as likely to remember the upsides to those experience—the belly laughter of relief, the rainbows after the rain, the waist deep powder—as the scary parts. Hank Schyma, aka...
Low-Light Performance in a Compact Package: ZEISS SFL 10X50 Binocular Review
I felt hot, sweaty, and dejected as my buddy and I sat in my raft, silently drifting downriver in the bright sun with prime hunting hours coming to a close. We had taken a long shot during Tennessees early wood duck and teal season, opting to hunt an out-of-the-way river with complex logistics and few birds in lieu of the...
Big, Bold, and Badass: WE Knife Inmate Review
The knife industry is currently experiencing a surge. I cannot remember a time when there have been so many new knife designers launching products into the market. I expect that when the dust settles, some designers will find their stride while others fade into obscurity. One of the new knife designers who has continued to grow in popularity is Jerad...
Moab All Year Long: A Red Rock Destination for Every Kind of Explorer
Adventure season in Moab doesn’t take a break. Families with toddlers (or their four-legged kiddos) to thrill-seekers and culture lovers — everyone can find their kind of a good time among the red rock canyons and desert landscapes. Whether you crave epic trails through the famed sandstone arches, boogying around a folk music festival, or just a leisurely scenic drive,...
The Evolution of EVs Through a Nissan Leaf Lens
The 2011 Nissan Leaf debuted with a 24kWh battery and 73 miles of range. Its steeply sloped, stumpy nose with bugeye headlights and a bulbous hatchback body offered folks an entry into the modern battery electric world from a mainstream Japanese manufacturer. Tesla aside, many automakers took a similar approach, offering small, efficient, and limited-range electric cars. But unlike most...
