Ken Block Charity Auction Now Live: Own a Piece of Automotive Culture
The death of Ken Block last year left a void in the heart of motorsports fans around the world. The shoe mogul turned extreme athlete and tail-out rally car driver gave us some amazing race wins and the incredible Gymkhana series of videos. Now, for the first time, his family is releasing a block of cool memorabilia to help the...
Winter Tires vs. All-Season: 4 Road Tests That Prove They’re Worth It
It might seem like a no-brainer, but there’s a big difference between winter tires and all-season spinners. Thats what I learned after participating in a recent winter driving test on the snowy, windswept expanse of Yellowstone Airport. The test, hosted by eBay Motors, included four different vehicles and four snow-covered courses. The goal? Showcase the different performance levels of winter...
Alaska is the Center of the Universe
Where did eagles come from? Why are grizzly bears so mean? In this Audible Original excerpt, host James Dommek Jr—the great-grandson of a famous Iñupiaq storyteller— travels around the state sharing legends from different cultures and traditions. The result is a beautiful portrait of life in the north, and a new twist on the idea of a survival story. For...
The Best Bike Phone Mounts of 2024
These days, between navigation apps, music streaming services, and social workout platformslike Zwift and Strava, many cyclists rely on access to their phones while seated in the saddle. For these riders, the smartphone functions like the dashboard display of a car — information, connectivity, and controls that all exist in a single convenient location. Modern smartphones aren’t cheap, however, so...
Does Handlebar Compliance Matter? Watch This Legit Test to Find Out
Compliance arguably affects mountain biking the most. The obstacles we seek to ride over and around make the discipline the most engaging but also the most punishing. Mountain bikers and bike brands spend much effort and resources mitigating hits and vibrations through suspension. For most riders, the front suspension makes more of a tactile difference in comfort than the rear...
Finally, an E-MTB You Can Afford: Aventon Ramblas First Look Review
The Aventon Ramblas, which sells for a reasonable MSRP of $2,699, is interesting for several reasons. First, the bike marks Aventons first official foray into pure mountain biking. Second, its the brands first bike to feature a mid-drive motor. While Aventons fat-tire Sinch folding bike and big-wheel Aventure models include trail-worthy qualities that make proper mountain bike trails accessible on...
8 Bucket-List Multisport Adventure Races
How do you top a DIY full send? Make it a competition. Each of these races packs two to four distinct adventure sports into a single, grueling push. Some are sprints—think two to three hours of full-on effort. Others require up to 34 hours of unsupported navigation in backcountry terrain. Sound like your cup of tea? Add one of these...
Hiking Boot Meets Marathon Running Shoe: Deckers X Lab Enduro Max Review
At first, the whole concept behind the Deckers X Lab Enduro Max seemed a bit far-fetched to me. A hiking shoe combined with a mountaineering boot and a marathon runner? I suppose if HOKA and La Sportiva had a shoe baby, it might look something like this. But it took me some time to warm up to the idea of...

The Perfect Green Lawn Is the American Dream. But It Shouldn’t Be.
For most of my life, I’ve bought into the popular mindset that a perfect green lawn is somehow virtuous. Who doesn’t love the smell of fresh-cut grass? Those pleasing, perfect diagonal stripes? That plush, immaculate emerald carpet that beckons bare feet and promises carefree summers? Although I love and actively seek out nature and wild places in my life, the...
