Play If you ask him, James Nash says he’s just a normal American guy with an abnormally organized truckbed, thanks to DECKEDs drawer systems.
He grew up on an Oregon ranch, trapping gophers and working as a pack horse hunting guide in high school. He also wrestled so well that he moved to Norway for a year to train professionally.
His career choices varied after that. He earned a college scholarship for riding rodeo broncos, and paid the rest of his tuition by working as a wildland firefighter in the summer. He rappelled from helicopters deep in the wilderness to fight fires with a rake rather than water.

James Nash guides just about everything, including where to set your sights on the ranch; (photo/DECKED) Later, he enlisted in the Marine Corps and deployed to Afghanistan to command a tank platoon. He used a 76-ton tank as his daily driver. Now, he favors a pick-up with DECKED drawers a-plenty. Where better to keep his scopes and ammo than in a Mossy Oak Honcho case?
While deployed, he earned two Purple Heart medals after a mortar explosion injured several of his platoon and himself, and killed one other Marine. He’s now healing through hunting, fishing, and sharing those experiences with people.
His next adventures? Spear fishing and hosting a podcast featuring stories from folks with calloused hands.
The folks at DECKED say he is “without a doubt the most badass, coolest nerd we know.”
Thats high praise for anyone, but it rings sincerely true for James; hes too busy to blush, though. He has truck bed drawers to organize for his next hunt, fence fix, and fishing trip.
