Hair metal and 80s glam rock might be dead, but Pit Viper is upholding the spirit in style. The brand, known for its goofy, off-the-wall throwback aesthetic, isnt just about looking cool, either. Its innovating with its designs, striving for equal parts function and fashion. The brands latest release, the BN5000 goggle, is a prime example.
On October 7, Pit Viper revealed this new ski and snowboard goggle, featuring five different color schemes, and a proprietary tech it calls Worldwide Vision. Supposedly, the BN5000 offers a wider peripheral view than any other goggle on the market. The claim is almost as bold as this flashy goggles style.

This release follows Pit Vipers other recent forays into ski and snowboard eyewear. Earlier this year, the brand also released the Flip-Off and Backslap snow goggles, as well as new color-ups for its French Fry and Proform goggles.
Pit Viper BN5000 Snow Goggles: Better Comfort, Wider View The highlight feature of the BN5000 is Pit Vipers Worldwide Vision Technology. The brand claims that these innovative wrapped side shields ensure maximum visibility. By widening the wearers peripheral field of view and enhancing color and contrast, the custom-molded anti-fog HDPV lenses allow the wearer to see naked slopeside. That supposedly makes for a safer, more confident ride.
GearJunkie has yet to test these claims, but stay tuned for a full review coming soon.
Using Pit Vipers Magic Magnet lens changing system, the lenses are easily removable and swappable with the frame. Each pair comes with an alternative lens for low-light skiing and riding.
The BN5000 Combustion color option; (photo/Pit Viper) Pit Viper is offering the BN5000 in five different flashy color options: Genesis, Combustion, Night Rider, Exec, and Miami Nights. They all bring that classic retro 80s pop that Pit Viper has built its name on.
If none of those strike your fancy, check out the other ski and ride offerings Pit Viper dropped this season. The aptly namedFlip Offis the brands take on old school flip-up sunglasses, with a hinged lens you can raise and lower at will. Or, take a peek at the Backslap, a more classic snow goggle style with a semi-frameless cylindrical lens.
All of these goggles are covered by Pit Vipers lifetime warranty and are helmet-compatible. Need a helmet? Pit Viper makes those, too. The brand is slowly becoming a one-stop shop for all your retro ski and ride needs.
