Comfort Light Self-Inflating Mat
Sea to Summit
Comfort Light Self-Inflating Mat
$128.95 - $148.95
Description

The Comfort Light Self Inflating Mat is an excellent lightweight backpacking option that offers superb comfort with minimal weight and packed size. The Delta Core™ technology removes 40% of bulk and weight while leaving a 2 inch thickness to keep your nights comfortable. The multi-function valve is a low profile, high volume valve that allows fast deflation without fighting re-inflation as you go.

As of January 1 2020, all sleeping mat manufacturers will test mats for R-Value in independent labs using the ASTM standard F3340-18. Having one test standard provides clarity and transparency to consumers and allows comparisons across brands. Since the standard was published, Sea to Summit has continued to work with other sleeping mat manufacturers and with accredited labs to ensure that the testing is accurate and representative of actual mat performance.

The new test protocol will see some changes to previously published R-Values. It’s important to note that where values do change, it doesn’t signify a drop or increase in warmth—it simply means they have been tested using a slightly different scale.

The packaging of some mats will still carry the previous R-Value, but the mat itself has not changed.

Footprint sold separately.

Fatigue is one of the telltale signs of protein deficiency, says Madi Niemi, a fitness coach in Portland, Oregon with a degree in integrative health. This essential macronutrient helps you...
Hot Hammock in the Dead of Winter: Warbonnet Tsunami Review
The mercury was racing toward double-digit negatives with the same frenetic pace as my frozen hands and feet, setting up the Tsunami Hot Hammock Tent. When it was finished, I walked inside only to find an explosion of down and smoke. My first thought: Good thing I have a backup sleeping bag. My second thought: Fortress, though it may be,...
How Wolves Became Yellowstone’s $82 Million Tourist Attraction
On January 11, 1995, approximately 17,000 elk bedded down in Yellowstone National Park. When they woke up a few hours later, a new scent was in the icy air: wolves. It had been 69 years since the last Canis lupus roamed the world’s first national park. As a result of hunting, government-sponsored eradication programs, and human expansion, wolves were all but...
Vasque St. Elias Review: Old-School Style Meets Modern Performance
We’re in a full throwback hiking-style renaissance. Nostalgia, sustainability, and market trends all play a part in the current zeitgeisty resurgence of Camp 4 staples like the updated Vasque St. Elias. Ted Ligety and DPS Introduce a Carving Ski that Anyone Can Arc On
There’s no way I can keep up with Ted Ligety when he lets it rip down the groomer. He has two Olympic gold medals and five World Championship gold medals, and I’m not even the fastest guy in my unofficial weekly races back home. I know this, and yet, I’ve convinced myself that I can stay on Ligety’s tail as...
The Untold Story of the First All-Women Team Who Summited Denali 55 Years Ago
In 1970, six women made the first all-female ascent of Denali. Alaskan mountaineer Grace Hoemen led the team, which included talented climber and chemist Arlene Blum, New Zealand geologist Margaret Clark, and pilot (and Forbes family pariah) Margaret Young. Last week, the story of this historic achievement came into full focus with the March 4 release of Thirty Below, written...

You and every other human have a group of muscles at the bottom of the pelvis that you use for the most basic everyday functions—to walk, lift things, exercise, pee, poop, have sex, and, for some, bring life into the world. I Tried Sleepmaxxing for a Month to See If It Would Improve My Sleep
There’s this old Dunkin Donuts commercial where an alarm buzzes at an ungodly hour of the morning. A man opens his eyes and says, “Time to make the donuts,” before dragging himself out of bed and to work in a haze. Those 30 seconds perfectly encapsulate how I feel most days—wake up groggy, work all day, fall into bed for...
