Made of TPU laminated, 420D nylon with fully seam sealed construction, this rugged day pack is the perfect choice for any adventure into wet, rainy or snowy terrain. The Rapid is designed for water sports like kayaking, canoeing, and rafting—but you don’t have to be on a big river to appreciate and utilize all the features this pack offers. The sleek design also works well for climbing, canyoneering, mountain biking, commuting, hiking and lightweight travel.

The top loading main chamber has a waterproof roll top closure with side straps to maintain a streamlined, minimal design. The ventilated and perforated shoulder straps, removable waist strap, and ergonomic back shape provide comfort even with heavy loads. The inside is white for better visibility of contents and has a zippered pocket that keeps smaller items from disappearing to the bottom of the pack.

The Rapid 26L DryPack has stretch mesh side pockets and a large exterior zippered pocket.

The Evolution of EVs Through a Nissan Leaf Lens
The 2011 Nissan Leaf debuted with a 24kWh battery and 73 miles of range. Its steeply sloped, stumpy nose with bugeye headlights and a bulbous hatchback body offered folks an entry into the modern battery electric world from a mainstream Japanese manufacturer. Tesla aside, many automakers took a similar approach, offering small, efficient, and limited-range electric cars. But unlike most...

A Compact, Rechargeable Pump That Actually Works: AIRBANK Pulse Pro Review
One of my biggest frustrations with fishing from an inflatable kayak or paddleboard is the time and energy it takes to inflate them before hitting the water. I’ve always been disappointed with the hand pumps that come with the inflatable SUPs and kayaks I’ve tested over the years. I’m already sweating thanks to the full-body workout I had to complete...

What You Learn Running Toward, Rather Than Away, From a Tornado, With Pecos Hank
Spend time outdoors, and you’ll eventually spend time in brutal, even scary weather. Dangerous winds, flash flood-inducing rain, and vision-erasing whiteouts are sometimes the cost of entry. By the same token, you’re as likely to remember the upsides to those experience—the belly laughter of relief, the rainbows after the rain, the waist deep powder—as the scary parts. Hank Schyma, aka...

Big, Bold, and Badass: WE Knife Inmate Review
The knife industry is currently experiencing a surge. I cannot remember a time when there have been so many new knife designers launching products into the market. I expect that when the dust settles, some designers will find their stride while others fade into obscurity. One of the new knife designers who has continued to grow in popularity is Jerad...
Patagonia Slams White House Move to Axe ‘Roadless Rule’, Urges Public to Weigh In
Patagonia publicly called out the Trump administration in an open letter published in a Time magazine column this month. The companys CEO, Ryan Gellert, voiced the companys opposition to a White House proposal to overturn the Roadless Rule. The column urged the public to weigh in against rescinding the rule during the comment period, which closes after this week. This...

From Trails to Talus: Black Diamond Technician Pro Approach Shoe Review
If you’ve ever been on a long approach to a remote crag, you know that sometimes the climb begins before you reach the rock. Sweat drips from your brow while you lug a heavy pack full of metal from rock to rock, hoping that your shoes stick when it matters the most. Some climbers opt for an approach shoe for...
33 Down, 25 to Go: Kilian Jornet Is Ripping Up CO’s Biggest Mountains
The original version of this story was published on ExplorersWeb. In the last few days, Kilian Jornet has focused on completing two of Colorado’s most iconic mountain traverses: the Elks Traverse and Nolan’s 14. The data shared about the speed, the altitude gain, the endless journeys, and — possibly the most shocking statistic for the average human — the crazy...
