Premium mountain biking hydration pack with a great fit

The women’s-specific Raven 14 is a premium pack made for mountain bikers who desire high-quality gear. It can haul everything you need for high country excursions with the flexibility to accommodate shorter rides—and less gear—too. Osprey set out to solve the issue of bouncy hydration packs, and found the answer in their BioStretch harness—a wing-shaped shoulder strap solution that takes the same shape you do when you’re in a natural riding position. Unparalleled stability meets maximum comfort and ventilation with an AirScape suspension system and backpanel. An included 2.5-liter reservoir slips into its own hydration sleeve with direct-zip access, and a space at the bottom of the pack is reserved for a removable Tool Roll. Standard and full-face helmets can be secured to the pack via the LidLock attachment or side compression straps.

WARNING for California customers: This product can expose you to chemicals including dimethylformamide, which is known to the State of California to cause cancer. For more information, go to oehha.ca.gov/proposition-65/about-proposition-65

Run Clubs Over Night Clubs: Gear and Trends From Strava 2024 Year-End Report
The folks at Strava get a lot of data on users exercise habits and trends. Every year, it compiles all that information, assesses and analyzes it, and releases its Year in Sport: Trend Report announcing the findings. This month, it released the report for 2024. Many of the findings caught us by surprise — and in a good way. This...
Why Shopping at Your Local Running Store Matters
If you run, you’re a runner. It doesn’t matter what pace you run or how long you go, but it does matter where you buy your running shoes. There are a lot of places to buy running shoes nowadays—at a big sporting goods shop, at a mall chain store, at an online retailer, at a discount website or at a...

The fourth-generation Nissan Murano has arrived. This crossover has evolved a lot over its 22 years on the market, getting bigger, more refined, and more luxurious. ‘Shortcut’ Strands Jeep Driver on CA Ski Resort
Shortcuts often end up becoming the long way around. One man suspected on driving under the influence learned that fact the hard way on Monday, Dec. 16, when he tried taking a shortcut to his hotel — by driving across a ski resort. The man, whose identity has not been released by the California Highway Patrol (CHP), got stuck in...

Neglecting your feet after a workout...
Last-Minute Gifts from a Bad Uncle
It’s less than a week until Christmas. If you’re anything like me—a childlike adult living kid-free—that means you might have just enough time to get a gift to your nieces, nephews, and friends’ offspring sometime before January. Two years ago, I wrote a piece explaining my program of purchasing children the most dangerous, parent-annoying knives, motorcycles, and archery gear possible. But since...

A Tale of Two Records on the Arizona Trail
If you want to set a fastest known time on the 817-mile Arizona Trail, you have to start fast. At least, that’s what both Nick Fowler and Georgia Porter proved this fall. On October 28, they independently set out from the Utah-Arizona border and started their trek south with the goal of setting a record. While Fowler was traveling in...
ORTOVOX Revamps Avi Gear Trade-In: Get 30% Off Beacon That Talks
Like all gear, avalanche beacons have a limited lifespan. Most manufacturers recommend getting a new one every 5 to 7 years, but theyre expensive. It can also be a pain to figure out how and where to recycle them. ORTOVOXs Avalanche Beacon Retirement Program solves both of those problems. ORTOVOX will take any beacon and recycle it, and in return,...
When It’s Time to Replace Your Running Shoes
When this assignment hit my inbox, my first thought was: I am 100 percent going to find out that I need to buy new running shoes. I jog a few times a week and haven’t replaced my Hoka Clifton 9’s since 2023. The chunky, cushioned sole that Hokas are known for has been flattened by months of trail running, and...
