The Yamaha CrossWave is a personal watercraft thats not like anything weve ever seen before. Its a PWC with a full 360-degree deck, giving you more space for activities when youre on the water. It will seat up to four, and it has a massive amount of storage for everything you need to spend a whole day out.
CrossWave Blends Multiple Uses
(Photo/Yamaha) Yamahas CrossWave name is fitting. Much like how the crossover vehicle blends car and SUV, this PWC blurs the line between PWC and a utility boat. Its an adventure-ready model like the Sea-Doo Explorer, but its the first-ever PWC that gives you that modular deck so you can walk all the way around.
Yamaha says it has 13 feet of flat, marine-matted space for you to walk around. Its hull is designed for stability, so you can use the deck confidently.
Want to dive off the bow, chase a fish around in a circle, or just have room for the family to dip their feet in? The CrossWave can deliver.
82 Gallons of Storage Space
(Photo/Yamaha) The Yamaha CrossWave can hold plenty, too. It has 82 gallons of onboard storage, including a dedicated anchor locker, rod storage, and two massive compartments in the stern. It even has room for the 55-quart accessory cooler that comes standard. You can attach that cooler bow or stern using a T-track mounting system that also runs the length of the deck for rod holders, trolling motor brackets, and more.
Thats right, a trolling motor. Instead of the typical tiny PWC battery, the CrossWave is prewired so you can mount a Group 24 deep-cycle battery. Instead of 4 Ah and a serious risk of not having enough juice to start the engine, you can have more than 10 times that capacity and not need to worry. Its far beyond most PWCs aimed at anglers.
The CrossWave uses Yamahas 1.9L four-cylinder four-stroke. This is the biggest engine in a PWC, shared with some other Yamaha models, and it delivers loads of power.
It also delivers massive range, thanks to a 26.4-gallon gas tank. The jet pump comes with a unique clean-out port that was adapted from Yamahas jet boats. You can clear the pump this way without getting in the water.
Yamaha CrossWave Gets One Model, Countless Options
(Photo/Yamaha) Yamaha will offer just one configuration that comes loaded instead of a handful of models. It comes with twin 7-inch screens with Simrad navigation and an infotainment system.
From there, youll be able to customize with a huge array of accessories for whatever activities you want to get up to. Thanks to the T-tracks, you can change them up depending on the plan for the day.
According to Yamaha, this is a whole new segment. Its hard to argue, because theres not really anything like the CrossWave out there, anywhere. The Yamaha CrossWave is set to arrive in spring 2026. Were not sure what the MSRP will be, but expect the company to announce that closer to the craft hitting the water.
