Debuting at Overland Expo West this week, atop the Wrangler 4xe Sunchaser concept that debuted at the 2025 Easter Jeep Safari, is the Jeep Performance Parts (JPP) Awning and Rooftop Tent (ARTT) concept.
This is a lightweight, low-profile rooftop tent and awning combo system that specifically integrates into the roof of any JL four-door Jeep.

(Photo/Jeep) “The lightweight and compact JPP Awning and Rooftop Tent concept is the perfect accessory for adventure-seeking Jeep Wrangler owners, whether they are overlanding across long distances or decide to go on a spur-of-the-moment quick weekend getaway,” said Mike Koval, Jeep Senior VP and Head of Sales Operations. “We’re excited to see consumer reaction at Overland Expo West to our newest innovative concept for our enthusiast Jeep brand customers.”
ARTT Concept

(Photo/Jeep) The idea was to keep the weight down, improve aerodynamics, and add functionality. ARTT accomplishes these goals through the use of a carbon-fiber shell, inflatable tent pole technology, and by creating an interior passthrough from cabin to tent. And, no roof rack is needed for this rooftop tent and awning to be installed, which saves money and results in a low profile.
The Awning and Rooftop Tent (ARTT) concept features a full carbon shell that houses everything, and replaces the freedom roof panels from the Wrangler hardtop. While no official specs have been released, I heard the weight is much closer to 100 pounds than 200 pounds, which is very low for a rooftop tent (RTT).

(Photo/Jeep) The tent uses Dometic’s AIR Frame inflation technology that sets up extremely fast and with little effort. It also offers impressive tent rigidity and, of course, low weight and bulk.
Inside the tent is room for a queen-size mattress. And, likely the coolest part of this whole thing, a passthrough that allows you to get into and out of the tent from inside the Jeep.

(Photo/Jeep) An interiorcarbon-fiber step is also included, which makes getting into and out of the tent that much easier and protects the center console from damage.
Can I Buy One?

(Photo/Jeep) While just a concept for now, I heard directly from Jeep that the product very much has production intent. From what I can gather, it wont be inexpensive, but will come in at a much lower price point than buying a similar rooftop tent, awning, and the required roof rack to mount them.
